About Alvavara

Small beginnings for ordinary mornings.

Alvavara is a journal about making an everyday practice easy to begin. Read notes on preparing a welcoming corner, keeping useful objects nearby, and finding a modest rhythm that fits a changing day. These are general ideas to adapt, rather than a prescribed exercise programme.

Alvavara publishes independently written editorial notes. The journal offers general information about everyday practice and the spaces around it. It does not offer individual instruction, services, or medical advice.

Read the articles in any order. There are no subscriptions, accounts, or purchase requirements. The photographs illustrate the notes; credits link to their creators, and the people pictured are not presented as our staff.

Start where you are

Browse the journal at your own pace. Each note offers a starting point rather than a strict sequence to follow. You can make a practice shorter, choose a different position, or simply read and return another day.
